FAQs

The Philosophy of Osteopathic Manual Therapy

is derived from the following principles

“The body is a dynamic unit of function, in mind body and spirit”

“The body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing and health maintenance..”

“Structure and Function are related”

Treatment aims to free up restriction in soft tissues that would otherwise restrict your nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatic structures from restoring health and balance to all the structures of your body.

Over the course of treatments, changes are introduced to your motion capabilities through gentle hands on techniques.

Time is given time between sessions for your body to adapt to these changes.

The subsequent treatment involves assessing the body again, to see what presents itself, given the prior treatment, as well as any events that may have changed your bodys motion capabilities.
